Who tastes dog food when it has a 'new & improved' flavor?
Monday was another beautiful day in the Southern California desert. At least most of it was. The warm sun was shining and the scattered clouds didn’t start coming in until about 4:00. It was definitely one of those lazy, lazy days and we enjoyed it immensely.
The day started with coffee under Janice and Jerry’s patio. Actually, there was more talk than drinking coffee because when the cup got cold we really didn’t want to drink it any more. We sat around talking more than doing anything else. Our plans to search out new swimming suits just didn’t happen. So, now we’ve moved it back one day and we’ll try to take care of this today.![]()
We also had our motorhome washed and hand waxed by Manny. We’re really pleased with the job. Originally we had planned on having it done in Yuma but it was so dirty and we couldn’t wait any longer. We now have windows we can see out of and all the dirt and grime from Quartzsite is off. It looks so much nicer. They also did the car for us so even it shines. Usually when we get things washed it rains. We’re hoping that’s not the case.
Terry conned Jerry into helping him replace the door cylinder. We lost the original one in Quartzsite when we experienced the storm and it’s 70 mile an hour winds. It caught our door and there it went. It’s nice to have friends that are handy and know what they’re doing. Then, they do it for free. Well, we paid them back with banana splits. And, they also got our favorite spot so maybe, just maybe, they really owe us!
I also introduced Janice to Winco. And, of course, she loved it. We’re both still comparing prices to the stores in Quartzsite. Actually it’s not worth comparing since Quartzsite grocery prices are very inflated in January during the big RV show. However,
it’s still amazing at just how much they overcharge.
Paul and Marsha arrived at the Fantasy Springs Casino late yesterday and we’ve already planned a barbecue on Wednesday with a lot of visiting. And, Joe is whizzing by on Thursday. We still have the Aerial Tram to experience and we're going to hit the golf course. The party just continues and we love it.
What fun we’ve had and what super people we’ve had the privilege of mingling with.
Isn't today Ground Hog Day? We’re happy.
