Saturday brought light rain showers to the area. It was nothing like what we had seen in Quartzsite and was only slight drizzles. Overall it wasn’t too shabby. The rest of this week is expected to be perfect … lots of sunshine and no rain.
The park had an entertainer at the Recreation Lodge. Terry and I decided to take it in. We listened to Cowboy Jack. Cowboy Jack was quite an entertainer. He told a lot of stories about his days at the Grand Old Opry.
Sunday should be the day of rest. At least that’s what we’ve been taught. However, this Sunday was far from it. Breakfast was served in the lodge by the pool as it usually is on the weekends. Afterwards we sat outside and chatted for a while with
Jerry and Janice. We feel like we’re in paradise. I think it’s because we really are.
After bowling a few games, the four of us decided to try our luck with golf. Actually only one game of golf was enough. We moved next to tennis. Janice and Terry didn’t even want to play s
o Jerry and I battled it out on the court together. And, he may have had a hole-in-one on the golf course but I beat his pants off in tennis. However, he got even again in baseball and smacked two balls into the stands for home runs. There’s a show-off in every crowd. Enough was enough. We decided to put the competition off until another night as the Super Bowl pre-show was about to start. We have challenged each other to boxing at
a later time ….. maybe tomorrow.
Actually, we didn’t even leave the park on Sunday. It was another gorgeous day in paradise and we decided to stay home and enjoy it. You might have guessed by now that the action above took place using a TV set and a Wii game. What fun it was!
Another night relaxing in the hot tub (after the Super Bowl) before we hit the sack. It was a great day.
