"All the things one has forgotten scream for help in dreams." Elias Canetti
Our first morning had the most beautiful sunrise and I captured it over our neighbor's fifth wheel. In the meantime, Jim captured the morning sunrise over ours. So, the picture you see here is one I "borrowed" from him. Well, they don't know I borrowed it yet but they'll see it sooner or later here. At least I'm giving credit where credit is due. Now I've just got to remember to roll up the blinds early enough to catch this sunrise every morning. It certainly is beautiful.
Terry had his H1N1 flu shot on Monday before we pulled out of Phoenix. And, sure enough, about 24 hours later he felt like he was coming down with the flu. One of the warnings indicate that you may end up with a "light" bout of the flu. Well, he certainly did but I don't know about it being light. He was in bed all day today trying to catch up after being up all night. By evening he was feeling better but figures it's probably best he not pass it along. However, we've also heard that these reactions aren't contagious but how would they know? And, if they don't know, he certainly isn't going to take the chance.
The first
batch of firewood was delivered today to help fuel the future campfires we plan on having here. We'll probably be in full steam with folks moving in early next week. We're not sure how long we'll stick around but at least two weeks .... maybe three.I walked through one area where hundreds of vendors are set up. There are several different areas that hundreds more are at. I was looking for any new ones I might have missed from last year. I didn't get too far so came back and with book in hand sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful warmth of the Arizona sunshine.
It is now about 1:00 AM and I'm up only because I couldn't sleep. All of a sudden I heard this howling but the furnace was running so I couldn't really tell where it was coming from. The assumption --- it was the coyotes howling. No .. it wasn't. It was Terry howling in his sleep. If he can howl, he's probably on the road to recovery.
Things are good.
